The Albany Agricultural Society Inc was founded in 1889 and is a not-for-profit organisation. We have been located at the Centennial oval in Albany since 1930. Our mission is to promote, encourage and assist the development of the resources within Albany and the Great Southern, with an emphasis on Agriculture.
The Society not only hosts one of the major events for Albany each year (The Albany Agricultural Show), we also support and encourage other community events, shows and exhibitions. This includes promoting educational and health/wellbeing opportunities within the region and encouraging the community to be more involved with events that the Society endorses and supports.
Our annual Show held in November over 2-days, involves and attracts approximately 20,000 participants and spectators from all over the State, it is a well-received event that promotes local businesses and industry.
The Society actively seeks sponsorship and donations from local businesses, commercial institutions, and individuals.
